I was SO excited to read Danny and Trace’s story. I’m already a sucker for a good second chance romance, but when you throw in a third chance too? I ate it up.
First off, I truly love Allison’s writing style. The way she writes her characters and storylines makes me feel like I’m watching my favorite TV show play out in real time.
Trace’s growth throughout this book was one of my favorite parts. Breakups are never easy, and neither is standing up to the people who hurt you especially an awful mother. I loved watching her fall in love, fall back in love, and ultimately get the happy ending she deserved.
Danny… my man, you cannot keep running away every time things get scary 😭 But I was so proud of him for finally coming back, staying, and fighting tooth and nail for Trace instead of giving up.
And Brady… Brady, Brady, Brady. Too much power really can go to someone’s head because he tested my patience the entire book.
I absolutely loved this story, and I really hope Allison keeps some of these character connections in future books because I would LOVEEE to see Grant get his own love story. He’s honestly become one of my favorite characters after being such a rock for Trace when she felt alone. I loved getting little pieces of his backstory in book one and even more in book two.
